Seeds of Life Bali

About

Born from a love of living food.

Seeds of Life has been a sanctuary of raw nourishment in the heart of Ubud since 2010.

The story behind the seed.

Ben Richards came to Bali as a raw food chef on a mission — to prove that living cuisine could be extraordinary. That it could stop people in their tracks. That food grown in the earth, prepared without heat, could taste like a revelation.

Seeds of Life opened in Ubud in 2010 with a simple belief: when you eat living food, you feel the difference. Not eventually. Immediately.

Fifteen years later, the café remains what it always was — a place of genuine care, wild ingredients, and food that nourishes at a cellular level.

Inside Seeds of Life café

Philosophy: raw, wild, alive.

Raw food is not a restriction. It is a return. To the way food was before we learned to process it into submission. At Seeds of Life, every dish is an act of restoration — of the plant, and of the person eating it.

We source from local Balinese farmers, wild harvests, and our own kitchen garden. We sprout, ferment, dehydrate, blend, and spiral. We never heat above 45°C, because that is where enzymes live.

The result is food that digests easily, energises deeply, and tastes like nothing else in Bali.
